PROJECT: Stuckdarach House- Conservation, renovation and extension of a B-listed coach house and walled garden within the historic Stockdoric Estate.

BRIEF: The brief was to design a six bed luxury home for use as a group retreat. The project required extensive fabric repair, Listed Building Consent and careful navigation of environmental constraints, including a burn running through the site and its proximity to a Site of Special Scientific Interest.

Contemporary insertions are set within the historic fabric to frame a dramatic courtyard composition. Deliberately modern yet carefully proportioned, the new elements establish a clear dialogue between old and new while respecting the character of the estate. A dynamic social environment has been created wher visitors can absorb the local climate and nature fully.
