With a third child on the way, we were contacted by a young family that were outgrowing their charming three bedroom 1950’s house in Giffnock.
Feeling unhappy with previous house extension and renovation options from another Architect, we considered their puzzle with a simple, well composed proposal.
Respectful in mass, height and scale to the original 1950's post war house, the proposed design connects to the original through material warmth, continuing lines and proportions.
With such a charming house, we leave original building proud and dominant. The internal spaces increase in scale becoming open, light filled and centred around family life.
