Glasgow Southside Victorian Tenement Portfolio
AXN Architecture acts in an ongoing capacity as Architect, interior designer, development advisor and asset manager for a portfolio of Victorian tenement properties across Glasgow Southside.
The portfolio comprises a number of traditional one, two and three-bedroom flats within some of Glasgow's most established residential neighbourhoods including Battlefield, Shawlands and Mount Florida.
Our role extends beyond conventional architectural services. Acting as a trusted advisor, we provide strategic guidance on property acquisition, refurbishment, maintenance planning and long-term asset improvement. This includes liaison with factors and co-owners, coordination of tenement condition surveys, common repair projects and statutory approvals where required
Individual properties have undergone sensitive refurbishment and interior design works, balancing the retention of original period features with modern living requirements. Works have included layout optimisation, bespoke storage solutions, upgraded kitchens and bathrooms, energy efficiency improvements and the creation of enhanced residential accommodation.
