Westerclyde View was originally commissioned as a substantial Victorian villa overlooking the River Clyde. Rich period detailing, generous proportions and exceptional craftsmanship gave the house a strong architectural character, but by 2015 the property had fallen into significant disrepair.
This comprehensive design-and-build renovation involved the careful restoration of the building's historic walls and lead roof, alongside a complete reimagining of the interior for modern family living. Original features were repaired and retained wherever possible, while contemporary interventions improved comfort, functionality and energy performance.
Occupying an elevated position with panoramic views across the Clyde Estuary towards the Highlands, the project demonstrates how sensitive conservation can breathe new life into a historic home while respecting its heritage and character.
